is document control?
Document Control is a methodology of
management, concerning the initiation, review process, distribution, keeping
and integrity of data. Imagine yourself in a library, it is so easy to find the
required books because of their standards of record keeping and management.
Document Control will guide the management of your documents, especially if
your organization needs to be in compliance with ISO Standards, CMMI or etc.
Keep the working documents integrated within your company and independent of
employee rotations.
Document Control Usually,
quality management will be the leading force for deploying the document management software
system in an organization. They have to train the new employees for the rules,
regulations and working procedure which will make them ready to work and lead
the organization to adopt or follow ISO Standards.
ISO
Document Control Management is the most fundamental of standards. All the
working documents need to be controlled. In prior days, organization used
hardcopies for reference and found many problems such as document loss, version
tracking and hard to find documents. So the standards were created as
guidelines. Nowadays, we use electronic document and there are many software
solutions to serve Document Control requirement.
However,
while there are many software solutions for this purpose, many users still have
a headache with document problems.
